In her documentary films, videos and installations, Lizza May David investigates the relationship between the individual and the group, the visible and the invisible, the private and the public. Due to her own biographical background, disenfranchisement, migration and identity as well as the economical, social and political consequences of globalization are central themes of her practice. Her work succeeds in being deeply personal and universal at once.
