André Marose

André Marose explores the contradictions and complexities of popular culture and esthetics. His installations, videos, photographs and drawings blur the borders between art, design, fashion and club culture. Often appropriating selected images and materials, the artist becomes consumer and producer alike while developing his distinctly poetic and subtle vocabulary. Another main focus of his practice is the art world with its varied phenomena as well as the mediation of art.
